To ensure everyones fun and safety, please follow the event rules and guidelines for the Walk and Festival.


- Your dog must be current on vaccinations and have no symptoms of contagious illness or parasites.
- All dogs must enjoy the company of other animals and people.
- Dogs must be on leash at all times (a maximum 6-foot leash and no retractable leashes).
- One dog per person, please.
- Be prepared to clean up after your dog (extra baggies and scoopers will be available near the trash bins).
- Do not leave your dog unattended!

Q: I do not have a dog. Can I still participate?
A: Yes! You do not need a dog to participate in this amazing event.

Q: If I have registered for the Walk, is it OK if I bring my spouse, children or another family member to the event?
A:: All participants must register to participate in the Walk. The $30 registration fee provides support to the animal and community organizations we feature at the event. In addition you will receive a Canine Classic Walk t-shirt and gift bag for each paid registration. Children under 12 may walk for free with a paid parent or family member and are required to be registered in order to ensure safety for all of our participants. If you would like a t-shirt and gift bag for your child, you will pay a $10 fee to help cover these costs. However, admission to the festival is free and open to the public, so feel free to invite people to join you for the festival portion of the event.

Q: What do I need to bring with me to the Walk?
A: If you received any cash or check donations, please bring them to the event in an envelope along with a completed Donation Tracking Form (coming soon) — You do not need to include online donations made via your Canine Classic member webpage on your donation tracking form, we will have a printed report of online donations at the event. We also encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle for refills at the Rover Rest Stop water station. Water bowls will be available for your dog at the Rover Rest Stop water station.

Comfortable shoes, appropriate clothing, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. There is no area for you to leave your valuables. Please consider this when determining what to bring with you.

Q: If I am unable to attend the Walk, what do I do with the cash and checks that I collect?
A: You can drop off cash and check donations at the Agoura Hills / Calabasas Community Center 27040 Malibu Hills Road, Calabasas, CA 91301 during our regular business hours M-F 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sat 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please enclose them in an envelope with a completed Donation Tracking Form (coming soon). Please mark the envelope Canine Classic and Attention: Annemarie Flaherty, Event Coordinator.

Q: Where do I park?
A: Street parking is available along Lost Hills Road and the surrounding residential area. Parking will be available along Calabasas Hills Road after the Walk has been completed at approximately 11:00am. Please be sure to read all posted signs when parking. Click here for a map of the area.
